The Africa and Middle East Conference on Software Engineering (AMECSE) and Software Engineering in Africa (SEiA) conference have joined forces and grew into the so-called Federated Africa and Middle East Conference on Software Engineering (FAMECSE).
FAMECSE aims at promoting and strengthening the Software Engineering community in Africa and the Middle East by gathering practitioners and researchers to present and share the most recent innovations, trends, experiences and concerns in the field of Software Engineering of interest to the region.
The theme of the first Federated African and Middle East Conference on Software Engineering (FAMECSE) is Software Engineering in the Era of Artificial Intelligence. 
FAMECSE 2022 conference aims at exploring how innovation in software engineering can support Artificial Intelligence development, and how AI can provide innovative solutions to advance Software Engineering practices and techniques. AI is more of a contextual rather than a subject-specific focus for submission. This edition is organized In-Cooperation with the ACM SIGSOFT.
FAMECSE 2022 accepted papers will be published in the ACM Conference Proceedings Series. The ACM – ICPS has assigned the ISBN 978-1-4503-9663-9 for FAMECSE 2022 proceedings.
